The European Esports Federation (EEF) welcomes a series of positive and strategically important outcomes from the Ordinary General Meeting of the International Esports Federation (IESF), held on 6 December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
During the Assembly, EEF was officially confirmed as the continental federation representing Europe within the IESF structure. This decision formally acknowledges EEF as the unified platform for European national federations and strengthens its role in international esports governance and cooperation.
The Assembly also approved the Full Membership of Romania and France, further expanding and reinforcing the European esports ecosystem. EEF congratulates both national federations and looks forward to deepened collaboration within the European and global frameworks.
Another important outcome was the election of the EEF VP of the Board Elin Yoojung Moen to the IESF Board, securing European representation at the highest decision-making level of the federation.
Furthermore, the meeting saw the re-election of Vlad Marinescu as President of IESF after a two-year break. EEF looks forward to continued cooperation with IESF under his renewed leadership.
